FrogSlayer Studios, a video game company based in College Station, TX, announced this week that they have released their first game to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game, "Go Go UFO Smackdown," is now available for purchase through the Community Games section.
Within the first 48 hours of its release, the game moved its way into one of the ten coveted "Most Popular" spots.
FrogSlayer Studios is a small Aggie-owned company that recently made the move from producing energy services software to video-game development. "Sometimes you've got to take a risk and do what you love, regardless of the money," said company president Ross Wright.
Go Go UFO Smackdown, which sells for 400 Microsoft points or five dollars, is a planetary defense game for one to four players. "We wanted to do something visually appealing, as well as entertaining," says Wright.
